Deceptively Delicious

For Christmas i received a cookbook called Deceptively Delicious and I love it. The recipes are easy with food you would actually eat. The trick to this book is there are pures of fruits and veggies that you snick in. We made chicken salad last night and it was really good. It is a way of eating healthy and making sure Edison gets good eating habits. This is a cookbook I think everyone should have. So go out and get it, you will be so happy.

Faux 1920s Edison

SpongeBob SquarePants

There are two things Edison will stop screaming for, SpongeBob SquarePants theme song and the Dr Who theme song. When we shot this video he was screaming and would not even let us hold him. As soon as he heard the sounds of the ocean he stopped. He dose not watch the whole show just the song. What has this world come to that my son would rather watch a song on TV then let me hold him.

Messy Eater

Edison loves his independence when he eats, but the only problem with that is he makes a big mess. The reason his hair is standing up is because there is banana in it. I have know idea how he was able to do that but he did. The floor under his highchair is always a mess and Miko (our cat) likes to clean up after him. At least he is eating.

Sleeping In

This morning I was able to sleep in till 8:15 and it was great. Edison is normally up between 6-7 so and extra hours sleep was nice. Now he just needs to learn how to sleep in on Saturdays. He still is not sleeping through the night but we are tying to work on that. I am open to any ideas. It will be nice when he learns how.

New Fort

We finally get the entertainment stand down stairs and Edison has made it his new fort. We used to have VHS taps there but he would take them all out. We decided that we would save ourselves the trouble and just keep them packed. Now that Edison is mobile I am sure that we will keep quite a few things packed. It has taken me forever to unpack all of our stuff. I think that it is worse than packing, but just barely.

Walking

Edison has been walking for 2 months now. He is getting better and better as the days go by. I love to watch him as he tries to run from us. Now that he is mobile he thinks that he always has to walk. It is getting harder for him to sit still in Church. I can't even make it through 1 meeting. I can't wait till he is in the nursery.

Family outing

Today we had a family outing and we went to Griffith Observatory. It is a very nice place to visit. It is high above LA so there is a great 360 degree view. The Hollywood sign.This is a view of downtown LA. Byran likes to call it the Great and Spacious Building.
Allison and I are waiting for the Observatory to open. It was a hot day so the shade was welcome.

Eagle Scouts

When we where in Utah my brothers received there Eagles. My mom was so excited that she made sure that we where there. My mom with Aaron

Now all my brothers are Eagles. We are so proud of them. I know these are up late but I just had to share this.
